Adds a new type of underground dungeon to your world, featuring randomly generated hallways created with the use of jigsaw blocks and a large selection of hand-crafted hallways, staircases and intersections containing loot, threats and more!
Works on any version after 1.19 (at time of writing) but versions other than the latest version will display as "incompatible" on the data pack selection screen. You may safely ignore this warning, it means nothing for this pack and won't affect generation or your world.
-Uses vanilla loot tables to randomly generate loot, including different loot tables used for different room types.
-Scattered monster spawners add risk to exploration.
-More valuable treasures can rarely be found within dead-ends.
-Generation frequency weighted roughly the same as mineshafts, with sizes varying greatly to keep exploration interesting.
-Is not 1.18 (or earlier) compatible due to a change in the structuring of generation data packs.
-Suggestions for new room types are welcome. More rooms may be added at a later date!
How to use:
1. Download the zipped data pack (main download for latest version, or mirror link for other versions). Do not unzip the folder.
2. On the 'Create New World' screen, go to 'Data Packs'.
3. Go to 'Open Pack Folder'.
4. Drop the 'Forgotten Hallways' data pack into the folder that just opened. Ignore warnings about incompatibility, it will work on any 1.19 or above world.
4. Click 'Done' and then 'Create New World'.
5. When prompted about experimental features, just click 'Yes'.
If you have cheats on, you can find the closest structure to you with /locate structure lord:hallway_dungeon. Otherwise, try looking around Y20 in open caverns or while stripmining; they usually aren't hard to find.

You will very likely encounter an issue with water flooding parts of the dungeon whenever the dungeon intersects a flooded cave. This is a hard-coded structure waterlogging feature and there is currently no known fix. If you know of a workaround, please leave it below in a comment.

Update 1.1 - Updated to 1.20 : by TheSecondLord 12/21/2023 2:34:12 pmDec 21st, 2023
After a very very long time of procrastinating and waiting for Mojang to stop pushing minor 1.20 versions, I've finally released the 1.20 version of this pack! It is officially on pack version 26 (1.20.3 and 1.20.4) but truthfully, this makes no difference, and this version of the pack should still work on all versions from 1.19 - 1.20.4. What does make a difference, however, are the changes! The most important ones are:
-9 new rooms!
-1 corridor
-1 long corridor
-2 intersections
-2 dead-ends
-2 stairs
-1 stair dead-end
-Rebalanced and touched-up many old rooms
-Removed the blocks of raw iron and some of the coal from the resource room.
-Removed a lot of entities for lag reasons
-Cleaned up tacky redstone "blood" from the prison room
-Prison room has some new, much more friendly spikes in places instead. Possibly a spawner too :)
-Added pots in a few places. May add trial chamber pot loot tables if this ever updates to 1.21 in the future
-Lots of small details and tweaks
-Lots of changes to weighting of rooms
-Less of the good loot, hopefully
-Changes to generation JSON
-Structure should no longer stick out above ground when generating in a mountain.
-Structure can no longer generate over oceans. This will hopefully reduce the flooding a little
-Structure should generally be covered smoothly without large sections jutting out in caves
-Adjusted some file names
-Datapack is no longer a zip of a file, meaning it no longer needs to be unzipped
-Unzipping the datapack will break it unless you are extracting it into another file you intend to import as a datapack. Easier to just not unzip it
-Updated information on this page in accordance to changes
-Added a Curseforge mirror
